(Answer) (Category) EchoVNC Homepage : (Category) EchoVNC Installation Guide :
I'm an EchoVNC end-user; exactly how do I use it?

Here are some step-by-step details to get you started. The
instructions vary only slightly depending on if you're working on
a "Target PC" (ie, a PC that someone else is going to take remote
control of) or on a "Viewer PC" (ie, a PC from which remote-control
sessions will be initiated).

Step one: download the installer and run it. So far, it's easy. :)

Step two (for "Target PC" users): start EchoVNC. Click on the
"VNC Server" tab. Check to be sure that EchoVNC has detected
your VNC Server. If it hasn't found one, please start one, then
click "Check Again".

Step two (for "Viewer PC" users): start EchoVNC. Click on the
"VNC Server" tab. Select the "Don't allow..." radio button if you
don't want others to make VNC connections to you.

Step three (for "Target PC" users): click on the "EchoServer" tab.
Click the "Add" button and provide the connection details your
echoServer admin gave to you. The "Userid" you enter here will
be the "Partner ID" that other EchoVNC users will need to know to make
connections to your VNC Server. Click "Okay" when done. Once the
echoServer status shows "Connected", you're all done.

Step three (for "Viewer PC" users): click on the "EchoServer" tab.
Click the "Add" button and provide the connection details your
echoServer admin gave to you. Choose whatever "Userid" you
prefer, just not the same name as one of your VNC targets. Once the
echoServer status shows "Connected", you're ready to make a VNC
connection.

Step four (for "Viewer PC" users): click on the "Main" tab, and
click "Make a VNC Connection". Enter the Partner ID for your
target VNC Server (ie, their "Partner ID" is the userid they
connected to the echoServer with). Then click "Connect via
echoServer".
